Connor Stankard — "Guttur (Plug)," 2021


Connor Stankard (b. 1992, New Jersey) is an artist and MFA candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia). Stankard’s work is informed by her interest in the permeable human object and its relationship to lively, non-human entities.

Stankard received her BFA from Pace University (New York, NY) in 2015. She has had solo exhibitions at Motel Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), the Brunswick Wall (Jersey City, NJ) and FAB Gallery (Richmond, VA). She edited and designed Compression by Steven Holl, (2019, Princeton Architectural Press) and is the former Assistant Editor of Lacanian Ink. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Modern Life Fine Arts, Kimberly Klark, Allen & Eldridge, and Peter Fingensten Gallery.
